The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk

Love Express Poster

Love Express discusses the subjects of creativity, censorship, surrealism and psychoanalysis in the form of a documentary investigation into the life and career of Walerian Borowczyk – a multi-talented artist and avant-garde filmmaker considered to be one of the great masters of European cinema in the 1970’s only to be labelled ‘erotic filmmaker’ in the 80’s. The list of speakers includes Borowczyk’s friends, collaborators and filmmakers who consider him a fellow traveler, such as Andrzej Wajda, Terry Gilliam, Neil Jordan and Patrice Leconte.
